An enthusiastic supporter wears the message, "Hougang voters, let the PAP go to sleep."

Workers' Party published an Hougang by-election message from Png Eng Huat and senior party members

Some supporters turned up for the rally with contraptions made with WP umbrella and flags.

Flags and other items were on sale before the rally to raise funds for the party.

An umbrella costs $10, and a flag costs $2.

The left column says that people who tell secrets are shameless traitors, presumably referring to the WP insider who leaked the CEC meeting minutes regarding the NCMP selection. The right column says that Hougang residents are still courageous.

Supporters gave Workers' Party Secretary-General Low Thia Khiang a rousing applause after he concluded the night's rally.
